Saturday, Summer, & Special Student Programs

Participate in innovative programs on Saturday and during the summer. Programs are held at the Center, the Medical College of Virginia, the VCU School of Engineering, and at various area schools. Over 75 different courses are offered annually. Explore the many programs listed below, find an interest, and register to participate.

Adult-Child Programs, Grades K-3
Students and parents or other adults explore math and science together in the Center's specially designed facilities, in area schools, or at various parks and museums across the state. Programs are three hours, with slightly shorter times for Kindergarten students.

Saturday Classes, Grades 4-5
Unique programs are held on five consecutive Saturday mornings. Explore high-interest topics, engage in field studies, and interact with scientists and mathematicians. Programs are 15 hours.

Gifted & Talented Programs, Grades 4-8
Special programs occur on consecutive Saturdays and during the summer. Explore topics ranging from mathematics to space exploration to archaeology. Programs range from 15 to 48 hours.

Metro Richmond Science Fair, Grades 7-12
